For millennia, humans have found creative ways to court the graces of the Earth, from cave paintings to structures tracking the movements of the cosmos. In honor of spring, University of the Arts master lecturer Cristine Larson discusses ways cultures have interpreted seasonal change through art. We’ll explore how, through art, we can reconnect with nature and help to heal the growing divide between humanity and the natural world. Then we’ll head outside and make some art of our own.
Keep an eye out for more lecture-workshops with Cristine Larson in more from her environmental art lecture series over the summer and fall.
