Book Club Kickoff hosted by Johnson House with The Black Writers Museum
join Black Writers Museum, a venue to explore, celebrate, and experience the wonders of writing and reading through the exhibition and study of Black Literature, and Johnson House Historic Site, home to three generations of a Quaker family who worked with others to abolish slavery and improve conditions of freed African Americans, for an evening to discuss Twelve Years a Slave. Facilitated by BWM director Supreme Dow, the evening will feature the kickoff of a new book club and light refreshments! 6-8pm. RSVP required at info@johnsonhouse.org. FREE TO THE PUBLIC
